The Clubhouse was newly renovated in May 2014 and includes a contemporary pub and family-style dining areas.

  • Full-Time Servers
    • Charles River Country Club seeks experienced applicants for full-time work.  Individuals will have previous experience, be at least 18 years of age, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

      Servers ensure that members and their guests are having an enjoyable and personalized dining experience by providing quality and attentive customer service.  Servers work in the front of the house taking orders, serving food and drinks, and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner.  A friendly and professional demeanor as well as anticipating members and their guests’ needs is essential.

      Work schedule for these positions will involve night, weekend, and holiday coverage.  Free transportation is provided to and from the Newton Centre T Station.
  • Full-Time Food Runners
    • Charles River Country Club seeks experienced applicants for full-time work.  Individuals will have previous experience, be at least 18 years of age, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

      Food Runners must be able to carry trays to deliver food to the proper room and Server once a food order has been prepared by the kitchen.  Food Runners are the last of the staff to see the meal before it reaches the member, so the ideal candidate should have basic food knowledge to know what each plate looks like.  It's also important that the plates are handled carefully and brought out in a timely manner to ensure optimal food temperature. 

      Work schedule for these positions will involve night, weekend, and holiday coverage.  Free transportation is provided to and from the Newton Centre T Station.
  • Full-Time Bussers
    • Charles River Country Club seeks applicants for part-time and full-time work.  No experience is necessary- individuals must be at least 18 years of age, be a dependable team player, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

      Bussers must be able to carry trays and assist with a la carte service to members and their guests.  The ideal candidate will clear and clean tables as well as bring large trays of glasses and plates into the dish area to be broken down.

      Work schedule for these positions will involve night, weekend, and holiday coverage.  Free transportation is provided to and from the Newton Centre T Station.
  • Part-Time Host/Hostess
    • Charles River Country Club currently has an opening for an experienced Host or Hostess.  This position is part-time work and the work schedule will involve night, weekend, and holiday coverage.   

      The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting and seating members; overseeing the dining reservations; must be able to keep composure during periods of high incoming phone calls and/or in-person requests.  Responsibilities include answering incoming phone calls, handling reservations, complying with special requests whenever possible as well as maintaining a wait list during peak periods.

      Previous Country Club and at least one year’s worth of Host or Hostess experience preferred.
